Run like the wind

I thought I recalibrated correctly ... I thought wrong. Seems that I wasa bit off, not by much, but by enough so that I think it made a slight difference.

I knew I was running a bit short, but I am still pretty happy with the results. I have reset the watch again and manually adjusted the watch in the reverse direction for calibration. I think Thursday's run will be closer to exact with my improved stride. Here are the results from today:

Overall
3 mile run
.1 mile walk - cooldown
avg hr: 177 bpm (max of 189 bpm)
avg speed: 8.0 mph (max of 9.6 mph)

1st mile - 7:41 min
avg hr: 161 (max of 172 bpm)
   avg speed:8.0 mph

2nd mile - 7:08 min
avg hr: 184 (max of 180 bpm)
   avg speed:8.4 mph

3rd mile - 7:00 min
avg hr: 185 (max of 185 bpm)
   avg speed:8.6 mph

See I know it is somewhat close just based off the times and my HR during each mile. I like seeing my HR stay pretty steady across the runs and the first mile now of each run is so smooth. Smooth from the standpoint of breathing ... the joints take awhile to grease up :)
