Smoke on the Water

Well I don't know if there was necessarily smoke coming from my heels, but it sure felt like it. I felt amazing in the water today ... I could apply pressure to go faster and it hurt, but in a good hurt sort of way.

The burning just told me I was on the right track, but I could push harder and harder and did not tire easily. I felt for the first time in awhile like I was actually getting a feel for the water. Workout consisted of the following:

3 x 300m on 6:00 held 4:45
3 x 200m on 4:00 held 3:15
3 x 100m on 2:00 held 1:30
200 cooldown

2000 total meters

It was awesome ... the most yardage I have put in and on Friday to cap off the week. Actually the cap off is tomorrow mornings 4 mile run ... but one day at a time here :) Unfortunately because I will be in the process of moving next week it will most likely be over a week before I can get in the water again ... and that involves finding a new pool to swim in. Just rolling with it I guess ... no worries after todays workout.
