Fresh legs

It has been four days since I had to saddle up and the class started the way I hoped it would. Legs felt great, I was able to put some effort into sprinting and charging uphill (increasing tension and standing up out of the saddle), what I was not expecting however was the ultimate beat down that was served.

There was no rest, none whatsoever, I didn't even know when to take a drink of water! "Increase the tension, ok now sprint, ok increase tension, and stand up, ok de ... I mean increase tension and sprint some more" That was pretty much how it was ... 45 minutes of pure bliss. I know it is all well and good to get beat on consistently, but not when you are in survival mode. I was happy with the fact that throughout the 45 minutes I could change my pace and increase my cadence. That goes along way in my mind since it is just my third class. I am sure the four days off didn't hurt either ... can't wait to see how my legs recover for thursday's class.
